Ask yourself, “When will I come to a point in my life when I realize that I no longer need validation?” In everything that you do, you should always validate yourself first. As the great Theodore Roosevelt said, “…it is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena…”

Start crediting yourself now! Walk into a room letting people know, whether on a job, in a relationship or in general, that you’re needed. Be confident that you have it all and if you don’t, you can learn faster than the next man or woman. Choose me, hire me, pick me! Do not be afraid to say those things. Most importantly don’t be afraid to believe you deserve every single thing you go after. Demand your spot in life. You’ve earned it! An if you happen to not get whatever it is you’re going after, its okay. Everyone has opinions, and not all of them are going to line up with yours.

There’s a time in your life when you’ll realize you no longer need to ask for things, but demand it. At that moment you’ve just validated yourself. So start demanding now! I demand happiness, I demand peace, I demand love. You’re already great, stop asking to be great. Recognize it. Recognize yourself, and don’t let anyone tell you different.

No one will want more for you, that you don’t want for yourself. Why should they? Take time to sit and ask yourself, “What do I want?” If you don’t know, don’t expect someone else too. Just as you work on school work, your job, or a new project, so should you work on yourself. Remember, everything else will fall apart if “you” aren’t taken care of.
