Drop Destiny & Forget Fate. Create Your Magic.

You know I talk much about curating life instead of hanging our hats and desires on fate and destiny, for the purposes that we’ve fallen too deep for the made up stories foretold in the latest drama or movie depicted fallacy fed to the masses.

Sorry to break the news to you, but the magic is created. Handing our lives over to circumstance is a recipe for destruction. Life shouldn’t happen to you, you should happen to it. Maxwell Maltz wrote in Psycho-Cybernetics: A New Way to Get MORE LIVING OUT OF LIFE said, “The passive-dependent person turns his entire destiny over to other people, circumstances, and luck. Life owes him a living and other people owe him consideration, appreciation, love, and happiness. He makes unreasonable demands and claims on other people and feels cheated, wronged, hurt, when they aren’t fulfilled. Because life just isn’t built that way, he is seeking the impossible and leaving himself “wide open” to emotional hurt and injuries. Someone has said that the neurotic personality is forever “bumping” into reality.

Being self-reliant and taking the responsibility to make life happen for ourselves is the first step in experiencing the magic we all see and hope for. Yes sometimes it may seem as if things, out the blue, fall into place but as hard as it is to believe, there are people out there who happen to want what we want at the time we want it. When those two wants collide, those “coincidental moments” happen. It doesn’t make it any more less the fact that we aren’t creating those moments, we’re just not aware of it.

Take life by the reigns and Create Your Magic. Life is more meaningful when you realize that you’ve been holding the pen all along. You are your blessings and you are you favors. Take back control and make the wand work for you! 🙂

I thought, what better way to track my level of growth than by sharing my experiences and the lessons learned thereof, than in my blog? A wise woman once said, "You are your own masterpiece, therefore, instead of mastering it, master you."
