Are you the Exception?

You ever hear some girls praise themselves in being the exception? Don’t worry I was one once upon a time. Guys do it too.
Well..here’s the sucky part! What “we” miss or never really realize, is that we’re the EXCEPTION, not the RULE. In which the exception can NEVER counteract the rule.

Being the exception is not a bad thing, it’s a better slice of the pie, but you’re the underdog in this merry-go-roun.

Therefore praising yourself for it is a waste of breath. Let me explain.Being the exception is why men and women cheat or pick someone who doesn’t have half of what you offer over you. You’re the exception sweetheart, you can never win.

There is more of them, than there are you.

We’re the uh-oh, the error. The once in a blue moon. The shooting star you rarely see. No one pays attention to you until you happen.

You kinda have to be  okay with being the caterpillar until you become the butterfly. c288cb1769375e3fa6264d51f15a902bAnd that means staying the background, unseen until it’s your turn to be debuted.

So although I may see myself as an exception to the rule, you’ll never hear me say it. To justifiably present myself, I’m more comfortable with you seeing me as every other chick who’ve you walked past, dated, or known until you see otherwise.

Praising myself of being the exception is an ego trip and I’m not for it. I’m not wasting my breath. I say give people their right to their opinion and keep on moving. For some, we can’t hide our sparkle for too long. They’ll get it.

The job’s not easy going against the grain…YOU ARE THE EXCEPTION. That is true for all of us, keep that in mind when you deal with other people and yourself.
