If your going to spend the majority your time somewhere, why not get paid for it?
With everything you do, do it with a purpose!
I’m 25 years young and I’m grateful to say that I’ve approached the time in my life where I have multiple people asking my services with an open field to choose what I’ll be paid. Not because I’m lucky, but because I’ve done the work.
It doesn’t have to be business or entrepreneurship related, but there’s something that you do that you’re good at and people will PAY YOU for it.
Either you’re a Mom who is awesome at managing time between your family, friends, and work (if you do work). Maybe you are a student who loves to put clothes together and people swarm to your unique style. Maybe you’re a single father who has been successful at raising little girls. You have the experience in something. You might think its something small, but the fact is, no one does what you do better than YOU!
I do not normally solicit my services, but listening to Bashar yesterday, it’s arrogant of me not to at least offer (check out my Linkedin profile below at the bottom of the page). He said,
“Do not be arrogant in hiding or holding your gift, keeping it away from the people who need it. You would not have the gift if someone didn’t need it.”
He said a mouthful more, but this particular part struck a chord with me.
I spend a-lot of my time on networks, socially connecting and helping people in anyway I can, while sharing my own experiences (hints Share My World). If that’s where I spend my, that’s where I should expect to make my money.
I do not want to drum my services down your throats, because I know how frustrating that is. Also in the same breath, people (strangers) reach out to me in the most bizarre places and I LOVE IT.
There’s nothing better than an organic connection or interest.
It also takes a tremendous amount of guts to actually follow through with reaching out. #1stStep
But anyhow, check out my Travels tab and view the photos of my trip to Mexico! I just got back on Sunday and let me tell you, I’ll DEFINITELY be back! It was my first time there and I had an amazing time. 🙂
