It’s Election Day! #GoVote

Every time voting day comes around, the energy of empowerment personally for me, increases. It’s amazing because you can literally feel the spirits of every man and woman in history who fought, screamed, and yelled for the right, our right today, to #vote.

How can you not feel empowered?

Maybe it’s a bit much, but I consistently think about the history and legacy I will leave behind when I’m dead and gone. My children will have the opportunity to say, my Mom stood for something and I would do her a disservice if I didn’t. Having a presence in simply voting, instantly leaves an inheritance for your children. Exercise it!

We all have a platform. The question to ask ourselves is, “What are we using that platform for?” Cast your ballot, and encourage others to get out and vote. It’s our #CallofDuty.

History is written by the people who vote.”-Unknown

  1. Most of the candidates are bought off though, corporations poured about 4 billion into the midterms, the most ever…..it’s like going out to vote for the best marketing….kinda like Coke and Pepsi

    1. We live a society where it is necessary to contribute to a system that we all have to live in. By relinquishing your vote, you are allowing someone else to make the decision for you.

Even if what you said above is correct (not saying it is or isn’t), still it doesn’t validate a decision to NOT contribute to the things you use and consume. The LAW is binding and the law is law. I understand, but I encourage every human being that has to live in and by the system, to learn it and participate in it as they see fit. Participating is the key.

What’s the point in participating in a corrupt system though? like in 2016 we’ll have a choice between two choices that have been bought and paid for by corporations. That’s why Obama or whoever else reads from teleprompters….Frank Zappa had a quote about this

“These guys with this helmet hair, these custom molded guys. Their hair never moves…they have these terrible hand gestures that they got out of a comic book some place and they say the same things and it’s boring and it’s insincere. I find it hard to believe that 250 million people in this country really buy into that. I think the reason they’re even able to hang on to their positions and get in to the office in the first place is because there isn’t anybody willing to look at them at them and say, YOU’RE FAKE.” – Frank Zappa

    1. Here me out. The information and/or the depth of knowledge that you know and understand cannot be properly translated to an individual who is just living their normal life through the system.

However, what I can do is show them how to survive, to the least bit, to their own knowledge and understanding within the system. I can only discuss certain things with people who will understand the those. I’m not in the business of forcing information, that they are likely to reject, down the throats of those who are comfortable within living in the means of the system. I’ve personally graduated from that stage.

I’ve made it a habit to accept others and their opinions to live in regards to the system, if they CHOOSE too. In their benefit, I would never suppress their right to vote because of my own knowledge beyond their understanding. Knowledge that they will likely never accept and currently do not live in.
