The #‎Ouroboros‬

Life is like a blank sheet of paper, and/or canvas. As time goes on that sheet of paper is filled with the people you’ve met, encountered, and came across during your lifetime.

As time goes on..that same sheet of paper is being erased.

Just as it began, so it will end. Blank. Only to be colored again..

“It’s a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you’re ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is really ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.”-Hugh Laurie

| The Ouroboros often represents self-reflexivity or cyclicality, especially in the sense of something constantly re-creating itself, the eternal return, and other things perceived as cycles that begin anew as soon as they end (compare with phoenix). It can also represent the idea of primordial unity related to something existing in or persisting from the beginning with such force or qualities it cannot be extinguished.

  1. This is a bit random, but have you seen the Neverending Story? I loved it as a kid, and it was the first time I remember seeing an ouroboros and I’ve been fascinated with them since then!‬

    1. All randomness allowed! 🙂 I haven’t seen the movie, but I’ll check it out.

I just watched the trailer and it looks fascinating for sure! I’ll be watching it today. Thanks for the recommendation!
