The Secret You Wanna Know

Yesterday I took the day off to get out of the routine of getting up at 7am to get ready for work, get there, and rush back home to decompress by 5pm. Sometimes is gets too familiar! For a spontaneous person, that’s death! -_-

After work the other day, I came home and began listening to the woman I love, and have adopted as my auntie, Oprah! πŸ™‚ I have a genuine love for her. She’s on every one of my vision boards. Her ability to be transparent is beyond me, and I look forward to reaching her level of transparency to help others better improve their personal lives.

Anyhow, I watched the video from her show that talked about the book and movie, The Secret. [[You can click HERE to watch the same video I watched.]]

In the video Lisa Nichols said, “In order to hold onto something new, you have to be READY to let go of something old.” Nothing new will ever come into you’re life if you are stuck on what it was you had yesterday.

Lisa said, “Letting go doesn’t mean it never happened, it means you’re ready to move on.” Isn’t that the truth?!

So many times I’ve wanted to be someone else, when subconsciously I was holding onto where I already was. Ahhh, but the day you let go (surrender), is the day that all of your desires, wants and needs will slowly, or quickly, make its way to you. πŸ™‚

I’m speaking from experience by the way.

If you’re in a place of your life where you’re searching for your purpose, keep in mind that your needs will be met once you find a way of projecting energy into fulfilling someone else’s need. That is how you empower yourself.

Give yourself the time to watch this video and discover The Secret in your life.

  1. Great quote. For sure something to think about. I wonder a lot what my purpose is but am content with what I’m up to now, but do think about it often.

    1. Stephanie, I know what you mean. Mommy’s are God’s gift to life! Such a balancing act! I pray that in the new year you discover more time to balance out the Mom, Wife, and the original Stephanie (home base). Good luck to you! ❀

Remember, if home base isn't okay, none of the other bases will be. πŸ™‚
