Happy Sunday!

I was watching a speech by the amazing Oprah Winfrey and a message hit my heart that I needed to share. I needed some inspiration myself and dedicated my Sunday to reading and watching videos of the people I find inspirational and personally motivating. Oprah is one of them.

So… here goes!

Everyone has issues, everyone has drawbacks, everyone has relative shortcomings and mistakes – whether by association or personally.

But let me tell you.

You cannot erase what has already happened and you will not be or get better, if you do not change what you’re doing NOW.

Make a decision.

Whatever you’re doing now is not working and it will continue to not work. You have evidence of that fact.

However, no matter what you’re going through, just remember you’re okay. You’re still here and just being here is enough.

But here’s what you can or should do.

Use your story to empower others. I guarantee you there is someone else going through the same situation you are.

Guarantee!

Think about how you would’ve felt if someone posted, called, tweeted, or blogged about the experience you were going through.

Think about the massive feeling of comfort, knowing that you’re not the only one, as I’m sure you once thought.

Really, think about it.

Now…go give that feeling to someone else.

We get better when we help others be better.

Throughout this quirky, rich, and mysterious life of mine, I genuinely love to 'share' my experiences as a learning tool. I thought, what better way to track my level of growth than by sharing my experiences and the lessons learned thereof, than in my blog? A wise woman once said, "You are your own masterpiece, therefore, instead of mastering it, master you."
