You know the quote from Coach Carter that says it’s the light (our light) and not the darkness that most frighten us?
It’s so true.
Above all else I think everyone is afraid to step into that realm of amazing, endless possibility.
It’s why we cling to yesterday, forgetting the uncertainty of the day ahead.
Your light sort of separates you from everyone else. You no longer identity with old friends and family.
Then it becomes a task to find others that get it, or get you.
This is why people choose to stay the same and don’t bother to change.
They’re afraid of their own light.
But as the quote concludes saying,
“…and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others,”
I will continue to push the limits of my own bounds and shine my light brighter than imagined, hoping you’ll do the same.
