Transient Transitions

Question of the day:

When will people wake up and finally see the race their running is a dead-end, and that life is so much deeper than the tangible collections we run after?

My answer: That awakening happens when the ONE thing that “makes you who you are” is completely shattered.

That is when you begin to download the fact that how attractive you are, who you married, the position you hold, the talents you obtain, or the accolades you’ve received throughout your lifetime does not matter.

Take a minute to imagine stripping yourselves of all of those things. Now, who are you? What do you mean to life? If you were to disappear today, what would you leave behind?

Quick story.

I remember back in my last year of high school, or maybe it was mid-year or earlier, when I found myself really starting to like this guy who sang and played the piano (if you knew me back then, liking anyone in that fashion was rare – I always have been am ambitious gal lol).

Right before allowing myself to get to this super deep place of seriously liking this person, I asked myself this one question. Would still like him if he didn’t sing or played an instrument? My answer, flat-out was NO. Any interest up until bringing that point to my awareness disappeared instantly. So, what does this mean? I’ll put it simply…

You ever wondered why even the most attractive people get cheated on or feel the most mishandled? That’s why!

After having that experience I began to step closer to the fact that our natural talents as well as the materialistic possessions, do not weigh an account towards who we are. Because even talent has an ephemeral nature to it.

All in all, I think everyone should walk around with holes in their pockets to remind themselves that what they accumulate is not what they have or makes them who they are.

Life is like water. It wasn’t meant to be clutched, but only experienced. Matter a fact, try grabbing a hold of water and see what happens.

Right, you can’t…

“Pretty, status, the need for materialistic possessions and/or companionship hurts. We shine the light on whatever worse. […] Strip away the masquerade the illusion has been changed. Are you happy with yourself?”

Affirmation: With or without I Am.
