Let’s jump back in, shall we?

Friends, followers and dedicated readers,

Happy Monday! It’s been awhile since I published a blog post and today, before I continued posting anywhere else, I told myself that I had to come check with my followers here. So, here I Am! ❤

Between having to squeeze content out to finish my book and having to deal with other personal and business related demands, these days I’m looking to only fill my time with things that are nurturing to my spiritual well-being. As a creative, it can get extremely exhausting when you’re constantly giving, giving, giving. When I pour out, I must engage in things and with people who pour back into me.

Here’s what I’ve noticed lately. Although I’m wedged and associated with many businesses and business related organizations and institutions, I really don’t care about any of it. That’s the thought that I had the other day. lol I care because I have something to give, but I’d rather be talking about something else. Something like sharing the techniques on how someone can become who they need to be to access the resources they desire. I’d rather discuss that instead of leading people to scour the earth for strategies on obtaining success (that is illusionary, by the way) by increasing their bank account. I’m not saying I have all the answers. But what I do know is, by applying practical skills and strategies to navigate through the everyday challenges in your life, you will undoubtably reach a personal success that will increase everything in your life, not just your wallet.

I think we make life harder than it actually is by believing that we need something outside of ourselves. That we are lacking something and if we get more money, a better car, or somehow bump into our soul mate while on the way to the grocery store, we’d finally be happy. That couldn’t be far more from the truth.

“There is no need to search; achievement leads to nowhere. It makes no difference at all, so just be happy now! Love is the only reality of the world, because it is all One, you see. And the only laws are paradox, humor and change. There is no problem, never was, and never will be. Release your struggle, let go of your mind, throw away your concerns, and relax into the world. No need to resist life, just do your best. Open your eyes and see that you are far more than you imagine. You are the world, you are the universe; you are yourself and everyone else, too! It’s all the marvelous Play of God. Wake up, regain your humor. Don’t worry, just be happy. You are already free!”

Happy Spring.

The Fool & His Money Will Depart

Have you ever thought about what you’ll do if someone were to wire $600,000 into your bank account?

No? Okay. Let’s make this more realistic.

Say, $50,000… Do you know what you’ll do with $50,000?

Let me guess, you’ll pay off some debt, give some to your parents (buy them a house), and splurge a bit. I mean, it’s your money, right?

Well, here’s why you’ll lose that money quicker than you can say Sarah Lee.

Let me make this clear first.

There’s nothing wrong with doing any of the three things I mentioned above. Seriously!

Pay off your debt and please, give your mom and pop something, or you’re going to hell (that’s not in the holy book, but it should be!). I’m saying…

But here’s the real reason why you’ll be among the plenty who’ve received a ton of cash and have nothing to show for it.

>>>P L A N N I N G!<<<

Have you written down what you’ll do with $10,000? How about $1,000? Better yet, a $100?

Are you catching my drift?

The money (receiving a ton of money) is not the issue. Not knowing what you’ll do with it is.

Money without a plan has no value.

Where there’s no order (a system where you can keep track of penny) it will go everywhere. Literally! Sooner or later you’ll be wondering where it went. #AFool&HisMoney #Exiting

So again, if someone wired $600,000 to your account right now, what would you do with it?

*That’s me telling you to get off your device and pick up a pen and paper and WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU’LL DO WITH EVERY PENNY! If you’re serious anyways.

Listen to me, because I know everybody is trying to be wealthy and retire early.

You must plan for a wealthy, successful, and prosperous life.

Because you’ll get the money, the perfect partner, and all the material success your money gives you access too; but, can you keep it?

Write out every detail (down to the last penny).

P.S. By doing so (writing out a plan of action, a POA) you’re signaling the universe to somehow make it possible for you to access that kinda money. By the time you do, you’ll be ready!

The little girl inside me is dancing!

Hear me.
I just received some crazy confirmations about things I’ve never quite expressed to anyone in detail. Things that are tied to my heart like my unborn children.
Whatever you believe in your heart to be true about the direction of your life, TRUST IT.
Never allow anything external (family, friends, life events and/or circumstances) to change the perspective on what you believe is MOST true for you.
Whether it’s understood by others or not, trust!
YOU know the desires of your heart. YOU know the deepest expression of what makes your heart sing. You know!
Never let anyone deny you of that truth.
As cliché as it sounds, follow your heart. Follow it! It’ll be and has been your saving grace.
Be blinded by the standards and terms of the outside and hold onto what you know is for you.
Stay tuned.
P.S. I just had a birthday! Happy birthday to all of my Libras and to those who share a birthday on the 2nd of October with me.
Peace x blessings!

Friends, love, and longevity.

There’s nothing better in the world than to have friends who court you throughout the transitions of life.

I was going through Gabrielle Union‘s IG page (I love her!) and I came across a photo of Gabrielle Union, Megan Good, Essence Atkins-Mendez, and Robin Lee. The cast from the hit movie, Deliver Us From Eva.

All of whom who are still close friends today. From viewing this photo I went Essence Atkins-Mendez’s profile, then on to her husband’s profile. Essence and Gabrielle seems to be the closest. Especially since Essence and her husband officiated Gabrielle’s wedding.

Now, this post isn’t some mushy relationship post targeting celebrities and the newest popular hashtag #relationshipgoals. But, this post, like my previous post, is to remind you that there is more to life than just business, making tons of money, and accumulating power throughout the process.

Friends. Family. Love.

Those few things are the true joys of life.

From one my favorite movies, Funny Girl, starring Barbara Streisand, she sings, “People who need people are the luckiest people in the world.”

Prancing around as if we don’t need others, and are better off doing things alone is foolish and simply a depressing life.

There’s nothing better in the world than to have friends that court you through the transitions of life.

Your career and relationship. Childbirth, personal growth and all the awkward and sometimes disturbing occurrences in between.

You don’t have to go through life alone. Often times people make the choice to do so, but you don’t have too.

Make friends and create enough memories to tell one day tell your grand kids. Either way, whether you’re wealthy or not, it will not matter.

Here’s how you can instantly become a power player in your city or town.

I’ve been starving my young professional/business orientated audience for a little minute now. So, I’m here to redeem myself!

Everyone wants to be an Oprah. A person where you don’t have to mention their last name to know who they are. Yes, a Power Player!

I admit, I too want to be one of those individuals. People will say, “Oh, that’s Sarah Lee’s husband.” Not Mrs. so-so’s husband. Ha! Beyonce Knowles vs. Mrs. Carter. Shots out to all of the men married to powerful women! 😉

Okay, enough yapping. Here’s how you can instantly become a power play in your local city/town.

If you want to be successful in any area, people have to know who you are. Plain and simple. Determining on your location, you may have to sway a less desired route (in terms of what you’re interested in) to achieve a power player position.

For example, if you’re in Tallahassee, you better hop on the political train real quick. You’re in the hub of politics. The heartbeat.Whatever you’re doing, incorporate politics in it. You may not like it, but your hands are tied on this one.

Some may ask, “Well, what about opening a business?”

My Answer: Nope. That’s a no go. Very few out of a few survive. The city dies during the summer when the students are away. Plus, lets weigh in the factor that there’s a new club (renamed– meaning a company change) every other year. That’s a clear indication that you will not benefit going that route.

Pay attention to your surroundings. Pay attention to the people that are there, and especially the one’s who have been around for a while. You have your play book right in front of you.

BUT, there’s a twist.

If you’re already well-known in your city and you’re clearly in a record playing routine–meaning you’re attending the same events, with the same people, doing the same things, MOVE!

Tinie Tempah: Adam Lawrence; Reggie Yates: Phill Taylor

You’re a little too comfortable and more than likely you’re the reference to the younger professionals of what not to be. The overly ambitious that want to go to the top, that is. Those professionals. So, you might want to make a run for it. Get out now!

You have goals and then you have visions. Your goals should lead up to your over all vision.

Every move on the chess board counts. Line them up in the proper order to reach your desired destination. Just don’t get S T U C K aka comfortable. #Checkmate

Game over.

Excerpt from My New E-Book! #thelittleBLACKbook

Under the stars I’ve been working on my 1st E-book named, “The Young Professional’s Little Black Book”. I’ve tailored the image around “The little black book” but with a professional sweet and spice to it. It’s my words, my language, my way of getting the job done.

I’m putting together EVERYTHING I’ve learned and experienced as a playbook for you! Here’s a piece of it:

“The moment you understand that your future will sink or soar ONLY on your account, you will find no need to suck up to anyone, clutch contacts, or go for every internship and opportunity that looks good on paper.

I see so many young professionals doing that and I can’t do nothing but smh and laugh. People cut corners, betray friends, and drag people’s names in the dirt thinking they’re going to get ahead, when in all reality, EVERY LIVING THING you exert out of your mouth will return to you in many forms. People have no control over your future, but YOU. If you are confident and are sure in your talent, skill, and future, you shouldn’t give two shits if someone hires/likes/befriends you or not. Because things will fall into place and in your order when ready.

Be clear-cut in who you are, what you want, and in the things you are intended to accomplish.

Do not barter, exchange or trade those things for anyone, thing, or opportunity. Let the universe work its magic in lining up the stars for you. Time never stays the same. Someone’s outro will be your intro.

Treat others as you would like them to treat you. Work your ass off perfecting your trade and talent(s). Learn new things, and approach each situation as you know NOTHING–be the surprise. As much as I know and have experienced, in a room FULL of talent, I sit quietly. 2 to 1 chances the ego will get the best of everyone so I just watch, with a smile of course. Be the devil and the advocate. The angels, the heaven, the moon, and the stars. While everyone’s distracted, you’ll be watching the universe.

You’re only mission on this earth should be is to make those people who said “no” to you, have that stupid look on their face when they see you doing ya thing. I had it happen many of times and it’s the most rewarding feeling on the planet.

This is a karmic world. Treat it well, and it will treat you better!

Everything I’ve said takes practice – practice – practice. Unlearn what you’ve learned and begin with a fresh late.

| The Young Professional’s Little Black Book – It’s Anyone’s Game.

I’m excited about it! It’s been a great way to release my energy and expertise. I think the information is highly needed and I will probably be gifting a copy to every senior intended to walk the stage in my area when released.
The name is set to be officiated hopefully soon or knowing me it may change, and launching sometime in 2015. I hope you found the information both intriguing and insightful! 🙂
