Put it ALL in perspective.

The hardest moments of your life will be when you’re transitioning from one version of yourself to another.

The pressure of personal and professional advancement will get heavier. It’ll be as if a large piece of cement has been laid on your chest and as time passes, it gets heavier and heavier. As this is happening, your tolerance for certain things, things that may not have bothered you before, will become unbearable. You’re losing oxygen and now you’re seconds away from panicking. To reduce the pressure you have to either decrease your altitude immediately or ride it out until you get to your destination.

Ride it out.

With altitude, some people and things are just going to flat-out die: Relationships, friendships, habits, old desires etc.

As things begin to fall off, proceed with your pursuit and continue to go higher. The weight that needs to fall off, will. Don’t be afraid of a little chaos. Let the chaos relieve the pressure as you go higher.

When you’re walking in a life of vision and purpose, you have to come to the realization that not everyone is going to be down with what you’re doing, and you just have to be okay with that.

It’s a long narrow and winding road for sure. But, I guarantee you it’s a road worth taking.

Put what you want into perspective.

Go all in for what you know to be true and allow yourself to be everything good, bad, and/or ugly when necessary. All of it contributes to the making of your journey.

This is life. Pressure and all.

Life isn’t happening to you, but for you.

The little girl inside me is dancing!

Hear me.

I just received some crazy confirmations about things I’ve never quite expressed to anyone in detail. Things that are tied to my heart like my unborn children.

Listen…

Whatever you believe in your heart to be true about the direction of your life, TRUST IT.

Never allow anything external (family, friends, life events and/or circumstances) to change the perspective on what you believe is MOST true for you.

Whether it’s understood by others or not, trust!

YOU know the desires of your heart. YOU know the deepest expression of what makes your heart sing. You know!

Never let anyone deny you of that truth.

As cliché as it sounds, follow your heart. Follow it! It’ll be and has been your saving grace.

Be blinded by the standards and terms of the outside and hold onto what you know is for you.

Stay tuned.
P.S. I just had a birthday! Happy birthday to all of my Libras and to those who share a birthday on the 2nd of October with me.
Peace x blessings!

Life’s reality..

You know what the reality is?

Life does not care what you do, who you are, how much money you make, what country you came from, what you drive, what your future will look like, who your significant other is or if you have one etc.

Life certain does not consider or care about the unfortunate circumstances of how you were raised.

What can happen, will. There’s no gauge or condition to it.
Don’t let your emotions cripple you.
Whether rain or shine, you must be able to get up and continue.
Don’t make what you do, who your with, you future plans (THAT DOES NOT EXIST – yet) dictate your happiness and who you are. What happens if something compromises your career or if that person you’re with leaves you??? Who will you be then?
What’s REAL is what you can feel, touch, taste, and experience.
Experience.
Momentarily.

Your life is like a glass vase. Handle with care.

Tune in and go get it!

Remember: You can ONLY attract to you the qualities in which you posses.

Therefore whatever you resist, you are drawing to you. Resistance is fear. What you fear, you are or will become.

The time you spend thinking, feeling, or outwardly acting and expressing yourself about the things you don’t want, is attracting and manifesting what you’re spending time on in abundance.

Do you see how YOU DESIGN YOUR OWN LIFE?

Let go of the things you don’t want and pick up the things you get.

Get AWAY from the people you do not desire to be and GET AROUND those that you do.

MOVE to the place you want to live.

LOVE the person you want without trying to match everything up.

GO after the things, unicorns, and aspirations you deem impossible.

More (magic) is what you’ll get. ABUNDANCE.

Just DO IT!

When we thought he/she was the ONE…

I’m going to give you all some FREE advice.

You want to know how to be successful in every aspect of you life? Financially, romantically, professionally, casually?

Simple…
Be present and give others a space for them to be themselves – even if you’re not given that courtesy.

Give others that space and MORE will be given to you.

People are the key. In business, in friendship, and definitely in relationships.
Pay attention, build a powerful social circle, and don’t be random according to how you choose the people to be around. Bump up the importance of who you allow in your life. #filteraccordingly

We acclimate to what “we” think is normal. Therefore, people are easier to read than you think.

In hindsight, you get what you give and you lose what you’re not.

P.S. We’re dying to be ourselves! 😉
Her name is Consistency.

This is one of my BIGGEST fears!

Let’s jump right in, shall we?
You wanna know what ONE of my biggest fears is?
Settling.
fear460
Settling for a life that’s easy. Settling for one that makes sense and fits into normalcy. One that’s traditionally correct and appeasing to the religious standard. One that ultimately looks great immediately at face value and on paper, therefore gaining acceptance from others without question.
That burns in my belly day in and day out. Especially as I get older and there are “expectations” of being and doing specific things. #notinarush
However, that fear keeps me from getting into situations that lock me down, forcing me to take a basic and normal route for comfort, stability, and certainty.
Once upon a time I wanted normal. But I learned QUICKLY that “normal” was NOT made for a gal like me.
In some way that fear is definitely linked to being so much of a black sheep that you can almost never hide without drawing attention. However, again, that fear can and will never override the light that shines within me.
This little L I G H T of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.. 🙂
Let your light shine!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Here’s a simple trick to get what you want!

The more you keep running towards something, the more that “something” is going to naturally MOVE AWAY from you.

Ever tried to catch a butterfly? Doesn’t work does it?

Try reverse engineering that approach.

You don’t go after it. Let it come to you.

It has always been true that the best things in life kinda just happen. 😉

Does it really take a village to raise a child?

As I get older and life becomes more advanced in my professional career and personal life, it’s obvious that the need for having people around me who truly understand and facilitate a comfortable space for my growth is something I never foreseen happening.

It’s true. I’m no longer the person who can, will, and prefer to fly, fall, and gain back my strength alone.
I consistently find myself writing this down:
It not only takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a village to get you through your whole life. God bless the child that has his/her own, but also, God bless the ones who are struggling to keep it.”

I can be honest with myself and say that I’ve done it ALL alone, but I don’t want to do it anymore.
For the past year and 6 months I’ve been enlightened enough to know what being enlightened really means.

Enlightenment doesn’t mean you’re a smart and intelligent individual. Enlightenment doesn’t mean you’re a spiritual and pure person without fault.

Enlightenment means that although you’ve experienced all that there is and have studied all that you are, being certain about both and more, yet still, all of your knowing is unknown.

What I do know is that I don’t know anything.
All I know is that I’m here. That I’m learning and I’m going to continue to learn and make mistakes until my last breath.
Just maybe we read the traditional African proverb lightly. Maybe the proverb is saying that we should approach life everyday with a spirit of a child. Not fearing being wrong or asking for help. But to embrace the constant changes and the choice to willingly grow in between those changes.

I know one thing, though. Through it all I Am forever grateful and thankful for my tribe, my village, my collective group of communal support.

Training Day

Depending on whether you plan to work as a general physician or as another type of doctor, training can take between 11 and 16 years. Most doctors complete at least four years of undergraduate school, followed by four years of medical school and then three to eight years of residency programs.

Why am I telling you this?

Well, I think sometimes we forget that there’s a process towards achieving our goals. I mean, if it takes almost 11 to 16 years of schooling (training) to become a doctor, what makes you think that you’re going to be properly equipped  and trained enough to be in the position to receive, maintain, and elevate your intended goal?

Be honest, would you want a doctor that did not have the proper schooling or training operating on you? Would you want that same doctor administering any type of medication to you? Really, would you?

I didn’t think so.

Think about that the next time you decide that you’re just not going to be patient with yourself when achieving a goal big or small.

Allow yourself to grow. You need to be plowed and penetrated in the way that’ll mold you to become the individual that’s going to withstand any and everything coming your way.

People always fight with the plowed and penetration process.

Doing so is like going to college for a bachelor’s degree and getting pissed off because it doesn’t happen in two years. It makes no sense. It’s a little foolish, actually.

Wherever you are in your life just remember that life is ALWAYS preparing you for something.

Whatever is happening to you is necessary. Figure out what you need to learn, learn it, and move on; because, there’s another lesson on its way.

Training day every day.

Plant.Water. Wait. Repeat.

The things that remind me of me.

Have you seen this? I’m literally in tears after watching this!

Wow! Such a touching video! Salute to Tim McGraw.

I find the most intimate and rewarding gifts of life being our differences. Our different colors, beliefs, practices, traditions, creativity etc.

Creativity- To see something others cannot see and then share that back.-Jason Silva

That gets me excited! It makes my heart jump, because it gives me an opportunity to explore things other than myself.

It challenges me and stretches me outside the box. It’s like taking someone’s pair of eyes and seeing life anew. It’s one of the things that brings me to tears.

This video reminds me of my passion to learn. It’s like magically going on a quest to find something intangibly amazing. #theroadtoawe – Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.

Two days ago on Twitter I wrote:

My life is an experience. That’s all I want to do; experience. Experience the wealth of love, growth, and service. That’s all I want. To experience. Nothing more. I want to experience every facet of life, and write about it, then leave it for others to explore.

Anyhow, with all the things going on world wide, it feels amazing to see people acknowledge the beauty of our differences that interconnect us all.

Lets take care of each other. We’re all headed one place, so let’s make the journey worthwhile! Unify…
